Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Talha's (may Allah be pleased with him) son was ill, and he passed away. His wife, Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her), instructed the household that none of you should inform Abu Talha about his son's death... Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith and said, "Anas! Let no woman nurse him; rather, you should first take him to the Prophet (ﷺ)." So in the morning, I picked up the child and brought him to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ). I saw that the Prophet (ﷺ) was applying tar to his camels. As soon as the Prophet (ﷺ) saw me, he said, "Perhaps a child has been born to Umm Sulaim." I replied, "Yes!" and placed the child in the lap of the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) put the tool down from his hand and sat down.
