Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Talha's (may Allah be pleased with him) son—whose name was Abu Umair—used to joke and play with the Prophet (ﷺ). One day, the Prophet (ﷺ) saw him sad and said, "What is the matter? Abu Umair looks sad." The family told him that his bird, with which he used to play, had died. Upon this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Abu Umair! What happened to the Nughair (the bird that had died)?"
