حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ كَأَنِّي فِي دَارِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، فَأُتِينَا بِرُطَبٍ مِنْ رُطَبِ ابْنِ طَابٍ، فَأَوَّلْتُ أَنَّ الرِّفْعَةَ لَنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَالْعَاقِبَةَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، وَأَنَّ دِينَنَا قَدْ طَابَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Last night I saw in a dream that it was as if I was in the house of Rafi‘ bin ‘Uqbah, and there were dates called 'Ibn Tab' presented before us. I interpreted this as follows: (from the word Rafi‘) elevation in this world, (from the word ‘Uqbah) the best outcome in the Hereafter is for us, and (from the word Tab) our religion is pure."
