حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ غُلَامًا يَهُودِيًّا كَانَ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَمَرِضَ، فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ، فَقَعَدَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: " أَسْلِمْ "، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى أَبِيهِ وَهُوَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ، فَقَالَ: أَطِعْ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، فَأَسْلَمَ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ (٣) وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْقَذَهُ بِي (٤) مِنَ النَّارِ " (٥)،
Translation
English translation
Narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet (ﷺ). Once he fell ill, and the Prophet (ﷺ) went to visit him. His father was sitting by his head. The Prophet (ﷺ) advised him to recite the Kalimah. The boy looked at his father, who said, "Obey Abul Qasim (ﷺ)." So the boy recited the Kalimah. When the Prophet (ﷺ) left from there, he was saying, "All praise is due to Allah who saved him from Hell because of me."
