Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " اللهُمَّ إِنَّ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرُ الْآخِرَهْ "، أَوْ قَالَ: اللهُمَّ لَا خَيْرَ إِلَّا خَيْرَ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ "، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: " كَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُ: هَذَا فِي قَصَصِهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: The real good is the good of the Hereafter, or he would say: O Allah! There is no good except the good of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajireen.
