حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي هِشَامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ: " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، وَعُثْمَانَ، كَانُوا يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} [الفاتحة: ٢] "، (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have performed prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) and the three Caliphs; these noble persons would begin the recitation in prayer with "Alhamdulillahi Rabbil 'Alamin."
