Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، (٤) عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا، لَدَعَوْتُ، ، اللهَ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) said: If you were not to stop burying your dead, I would have prayed to Allah that He make you hear the sound of the punishment of the grave.
