حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي، وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ، فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ، وَاعْفُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The Ansar are my protection; people will continue to increase while the Ansar will decrease. Therefore, accept the good deeds of the Ansar and overlook and forgive their mistakes."
