Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: " أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ "، قَالَ: " فَجَازَ ذَلِكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) married an Ansari woman for a gold piece equal to a date stone, and the Prophet (ﷺ) declared it permissible.
