حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ،، ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: " مَا أَعْرِفُ فِيكُمُ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا كُنْتُ أَعْهَدُهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لَيْسَ قَوْلَكُمْ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ "، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ الصَّلَاةَ؟ قَالَ: " قَدْ صَلَّيْتُمْ (١) حِينَ تَغْرُبُ الشَّمْسُ، أَفَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ " قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " عَلَى أَنِّي لَمْ أَرَ زَمَانًا خَيْرًا لِعَامِلٍ مِنْ زَمَانِكُمْ هَذَا، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ زَمَانًا مَعَ نَبِيٍّ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), the things I saw, today I do not see any of them except that you say "La ilaha illallah." The narrator says: I asked, O Abu Hamza! Do we not pray? He replied: You perform the Asr prayer at the time of sunset; was this the prayer of the Prophet (ﷺ)? However, I have certainly not seen a better time for any doer of deeds than your present time, except if it were the time of the Prophet.
