حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ وَلَا يَبْلُغُ عَمَلَهُمْ، قَالَ: " الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man submitted in the court of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! A man loves a certain people but cannot reach their deeds, so what is the ruling?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A person will be with those whom he loves."
