Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was some bitterness between Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him). Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Ibn Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), "Do you people want to boast over us because you accepted Islam before us?" When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to know of this, he said, "Leave my companions for me. By the One in whose hand is my soul, if you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, you would not reach their deeds."
