حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَارَةُ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ ثَلَاثَ حَصَيَاتٍ، فَوَضَعَ وَاحِدَةً، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ أُخْرَى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ (١) ، وَرَمَى بِالثَّالِثَةِ، فَقَالَ: " هَذَا ابْنُ آدَمَ، وَهَذَا أَجَلُهُ، وَذَاكَ أَمَلُهُ الَّتِي رَمَى بِهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) took three pebbles and, placing one of them on the ground, then the second, then the third, said: "This is the son of Adam, this is his death, and this is his hopes."
