حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ، خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ، أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قَدَمِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ، ، الْجَنَّةِ اطَّلَعَتْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ، (١) لَأَضَاءَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا، وَلَمَلَأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا، وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Sulaiman ibn Dawud narrated to us, Isma'il — meaning ibn Ja'far — narrated to us, he said: Humayd informed me, from Anas: That the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A morning or an evening spent in the way of Allah is better than the world and what is in it, and the bow-length of one of you or the place of his foot in Paradise is better than the world and what is in it. And if a woman from among the women of the people of Paradise were to appear to the earth, she would illuminate what is between them and fill what is between them with fragrance, and the veil on her head is better than the world and what is in it."
