Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: " دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمِرْبَدِ، وَهُوَ يَسِمُ غَنَمًا " - قَالَ شُعْبَةُ حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ - فِي آذَانِهَا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I came to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) and saw that he (ﷺ) was branding the ear of a goat in the enclosure.
