حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ شِبْلٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ يَزْدَوَيْهِ، (١) قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، (٢) وَعُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَامِلٌ عَلَيْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْتَخْلَفَ، قَالَ: فَسَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ وَكَانَ بِهِ وَضَحٌ شَدِيدٌ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يُصَلِّي بِنَا، فَقَالَ أَنَسٌ: " مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ (٣) صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ هَذَا الْفَتَى، كَانَ يُخَفِّفُ (٤) فِي تَمَامٍ " (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him), "when he was in Madinah Munawwarah," used to say: I have not seen anyone who performed prayer resembling the prayer of the Prophet (ﷺ) more than your Imam. Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) used to lead a complete and concise prayer.
