Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ: " اللهُمَّ آتِنَا (١) فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) would often supplicate: O Allah! O our Lord! Grant us goodness in this world and grant us goodness in the Hereafter and save us from the punishment of Hell.
