Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا بَزَقَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَبْزُقْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَلْيَبْزُقْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ، أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you wants to spit, he should not spit to his right side, but rather to his left side or under his foot.
