Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، (٢) عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: " أَعْتَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَفِيَّةَ، وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا صَدَاقَهَا " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) freed Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), daughter of Huyayy, and made her freedom her dowry.
