Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade visiting graveyards, eating the meat of sacrifice after three days, and drinking nabidh from dubba, naqir, hantam, and muzaffat vessels. Then, after some time had passed, he said: I had previously forbidden you from three things, but now my opinion about them has become clear. I had forbidden you from visiting graveyards, but now my opinion is that it softens the hearts, brings tears to the eyes, and reminds one of the Hereafter, so visit the graveyards, but do not speak indecently. Similarly, I had forbidden you from eating the meat of sacrifice after three days, but now my opinion is that people give this meat as gifts to their guests and keep it stored for those who are absent, so you may keep it for as long as you wish. Also, I had forbidden you from drinking nabidh in those vessels, but now you may drink from whichever vessel you wish, but do not drink anything intoxicating. Now, whoever wishes may seal the mouth of his waterskin against something sinful.
