حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ الْمُضَرِّبِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ، قَالا: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مُضَرِّبٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: " كُنَّا إِذَا احْمَرَّ الْبَأْسُ، وَلَقِيَ الْقَوْمُ الْقَوْمَ، اتَّقَيْنَا، ، بِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَمَا يَكُونُ مِنَّا أَحَدٌ أَدْنَى مِنَ القَوْمِ مِنْهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
When the fighting intensified and the two sides met in battle, we sought shelter with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and no one was closer to the enemy than him.
