حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَلَا يَتْفُلْ أَمَامَهُ، وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَإِنَّهُ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you is praying, he is conversing with his Lord, so in this state none of you should spit to his right side, rather he should spit to his left side or under his foot.
