حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْإِقْعَاءِ وَالتَّوَرُّكِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ "، (٣)، ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " كَانَ أَبِي قَدْ تَرَكَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ "،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade sitting squatting in prayer and sitting on the hips with both feet turned to one side. Abdullah says that my father, Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him), had abandoned this hadith.
