حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْبَصْرِيُّ الْقَصِيرُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: خَدَمْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، فَمَا، ، أَمَرَنِي بِأَمْرٍ فَتَوَانَيْتُ عَنْهُ، أَوْ ضَيَّعْتُهُ، فَلَامَنِي، فَإِنْ لَامَنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا قَالَ: " دَعُوهُ، فَلَوْ قُدِّرَ - أَوْ قَالَ: لَوْ قُضِيَ - أَنْ يَكُونَ كَانَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I served the Prophet (ﷺ) for ten years. During this time, if the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed me to do something and I was delayed in it or could not do it, the Prophet (ﷺ) never reproached me. If any member of the household reproached me, the Prophet (ﷺ) would say, "Leave him; if it had been decreed in destiny, it would surely have happened."
