حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنٌ لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ لَهُ نُغَرٌ يَلْعَبُ بِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ، مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) had a son named Abu Umair who had a bird with which he used to play. One day, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Abu Umair! What happened to the Nughair (the bird that had died)?"
