حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ "، قَالَ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ؟ قَالَ: " سُبْحَانَ، ، اللهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) would raise his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits would become visible.
