حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، أَخِي يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَهَا: (وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنُ بِالْعَيْنِ) نَصَبَ النَّفْسَ، وَرَفَعَ الْعَيْنَ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) recited the Qur'anic verse "And We ordained for them therein: a life for a life, and an eye for an eye" with the word "life" in the accusative case and the word "eye" in the nominative case.
