حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، مِنْ وَلَدِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: انْصَرَفْنَا مِنَ الظُّهْرِ مَعَ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَقَالَ: يَا جَارِيَةُ، انْظُرِي هَلْ حَانَتْ؟ قَالَ: قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، فَقُلْنَا لَهُ: إِنَّمَا انْصَرَفْنَا مِنَ الظُّهْرِ الْآنَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ، قَالَ: فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " هَكَذَا كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we, after finishing the Zuhr prayer with Kharijah bin Zaid (may Allah have mercy on him), reached Anas (may Allah be pleased with him). He said to his maid, "See! Has the time for prayer come?" She said, "Yes!" We said to him, "We have just come after offering the Zuhr prayer with the Imam (and you are offering the Asr prayer)?" But he stood up and offered the Asr prayer. After that, he said, "We used to offer the prayer in this manner with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."
