حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: حَدَّثَنَا، وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ: أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: مَتَى السَّاعَةُ؟ قَالَ: " وَيْلَكَ وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لِلسَّاعَةِ؟ " قَالَ: مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا شَيْئًا، إِلَّا أَنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فَإِنَّكَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ ". قَالَ: قَالَ أَصْحَابُهُ: نَحْنُ كَذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، وَأَنْتُمْ كَذَلِكَ ". قَالَ: فَفَرِحُوا يَوْمَئِذٍ فَرَحًا شَدِيدًا، قَالَ: فَمَرَّ غُلَامٌ لِلْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: وَكَانَ مِنْ أَقْرَانِي، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنْ يُؤَخَّرْ هَذَا، فَلَنْ يُدْرِكَهُ الْهَرَمُ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ " وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ: فَفَرِحْنَا بِهَا يَوْمَئِذٍ فَرَحًا شَدِيدًا (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a Bedouin came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! When will the Hour (Day of Judgment) be established?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "What preparation have you made for the Hour?" He replied, "I have not prepared many good deeds, but I do love Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You will be with those whom you love." Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "Is this ruling for us as well?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Yes! This ruling is for you as well." Thus, I have never seen the Muslims as happy as they were on that day after accepting Islam. Meanwhile, a slave of Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him), "who was my age," passed by, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If he lives, he will not reach old age before the Hour is established."
