Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، وَعَفَّانُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أَسِيرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، فَإِذَا أَنَا بِنَهَرٍ حَافَّتَاهُ قِبَابُ الدُّرِّ الْمُجَوَّفِ " قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: " مَا هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ؟ قَالَ: هَذَا الْكَوْثَرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاكَ رَبُّكَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، قَالَ: فَضَرَبْتُ بِيَدِي، (١) فَإِذَا طِينُهُ مِسْكٌ أَذْفَرُ " وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ: " الْمُجَوَّفُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I entered Paradise and suddenly saw a river on whose banks were tents made of pearls. I put my hand into it and caught something flowing in the water, and it was fragrant musk. I asked Jibreel (peace be upon him), "What is this?" He replied, "This is the River Kawthar which Allah has granted to you."
