حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُضِحَ لَهُ حَصِيرٌ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ "، قَالَ: فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: رَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى؟ قَالَ: " لَمْ أَرَهُ إِلَّا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that water was sprinkled on a corner of a mat for the Prophet (ﷺ), and the Prophet (ﷺ) offered two rak'ahs there. Upon hearing this, a man asked Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer the Duha prayer?" He replied, "I only saw the Prophet (ﷺ) offering that prayer on that day."
