حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَرْحَمُ أُمَّتِي (١) أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَأَشَدُّهَا فِي دِينِ اللهِ عُمَرُ، وَأَصْدَقُهَا حَيَاءً عُثْمَانُ، وَأَعْلَمُهَا بِالْحَلَالِ وَالْحَرَامِ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ، وَأَقْرَؤُهَا لِكِتَابِ اللهِ أُبَيٌّ، وَأَعْلَمُهَا بِالْفَرَائِضِ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَمِينٌ، وَأَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ " (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The most merciful of my Ummah towards my Ummah is Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), the strictest in matters of religion is Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), the most modest and truthful in shyness is Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), the greatest scholar of what is lawful and unlawful is Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), the greatest reciter of the Book of Allah is Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), the greatest scholar of inheritance is Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), and every Ummah has a trustworthy one; the trustworthy one of this Ummah is Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him).
