Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " رُخِّصَ لِلزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ، وَلِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ فِي لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ لِحِكَّةٍ كَانَتْ بِهِمَا " قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: وَقَالَ: رَخَّصَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) granted permission to Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) and Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) to wear silk garments because of lice.
