Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, four of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) front teeth were broken and he was also wounded on his forehead, so much so that blood began to flow on his blessed face. Upon this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “How can a people prosper who treat their Prophet in such a manner while he is calling them towards their Lord?” Then this verse was revealed: “You have no authority in the matter, whether Allah turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers.”
