حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا عَدْوَى، وَلَا طِيَرَةَ، وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ ". قَالَ: قِيلَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، مَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ: " الْكَلِمَةُ، ، الْحَسَنَةُ " قَالَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ: أَوْ قَالَ: " الْكَلِمَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ (١) " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: There is no reality in bad omens, but I like optimism. Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by optimism? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: A good word.
