Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، وَحُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعْجِبُهُ الْقَرْعُ، فَكَانَ إِذَا جِيءَ بِمَرَقَةٍ فِيهَا قَرْعٌ، جُعِلَتِ الْقَرْعُ مِمَّا يَلِيهِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) was very fond of pumpkin. Whenever a dish of pumpkin was brought, I would separate it and present it before the Prophet (ﷺ).
