حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَحْبِسُوا لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلاثٍ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Abu Ubaid, the freed slave of AbdurRahman bin ‘Awf, said:
I heard ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) say: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade keeping the meat of sacrificial animals after three days.
