حَدَّثَنَا غَسَّانُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَزِيدَ أَبُو مَسْلَمَةَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا: أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ: {بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة: ١] أَوْ {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} [الفاتحة: ٢] ؟ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّكَ لَتَسْأَلُنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ مَا، ، أَحْفَظُهُ - أَوْ مَا سَأَلَنِي أَحَدٌ قَبْلَكَ - " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Abu Muslima (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (ﷺ) used to begin the recitation with Bismillah or with Alhamdulillah? He replied, "You have asked me a question about which I do not remember anything at the moment."
