Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، وَأَبَانَ، وَغَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا شِغَارَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: In Islam, there is no validity to exchange marriages (watte satta) in which no dowry (mahr) has been stipulated.
