حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُفْطِرُ عَلَى رُطَبَاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ رُطَبَاتٌ، فَتَمَرَاتٌ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ تَمَرَاتٌ حَسَا حَسَوَاتٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ " (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to eat some fresh dates before the Eid al-Fitr prayer; if he could not find them, he would eat dried dates, and if those were also not available, he would drink a few sips of water.
