Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ لِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ إِنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ، ، أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِلْقُرْآنِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The one who should lead the people in prayer is the one among them who recites the Qur'an the most.
