Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا قَالَ الْإِمَامُ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، فَقُولُوا: رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that sometimes the Prophet (ﷺ) would raise his head from prostration or bowing, and would pause between the two for so long that we would begin to think that perhaps the Prophet (ﷺ) had forgotten.
