حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ، وَيُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُرَاقَةَ -، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ أَظَلَّ رَأْسَ غَازٍ، أَظَلَّهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا حَتَّى يَسْتَقِلَّ، كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ (٢) حَتَّى يَمُوتَ - قَالَ: يُونُسُ: أَوْ يَرْجِعَ - وَمَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا، ، يُذْكَرُ فِيهِ اسْمُ اللهِ تَعَالَى، بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ (١) بِهِ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " (٢) .، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from 'Uthman bin ‘Abdullah, i.e. Ibn Suraqah, that Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Whoever shades the head of a fighter (mujahid), Allah will shade him on the Day of Resurrection; whoever equips a fighter until he has all that he needs, will have a reward equal to his until he dies (Yoonus said: or returns); whoever builds a mosque in which the Name of Allah may He be exalted, is remembered,Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.` ,
