Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some sounds reached the ears of the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What are these sounds?" People informed him that date palms were being grafted. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If these people do not graft, perhaps it will be better for them." Consequently, the people did not graft that year, due to which the date crop was not good that year. When the Prophet (ﷺ) inquired about the reason, the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted that, upon your instruction, the people did not graft. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If it is a worldly matter, you know it better than I do, and if it is a matter of religion, then bring it to me."
