حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقْبِلُ وَمَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ شَخْصٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْنَا مِنْهُ، فَمَا نَقُومُ لَهُ لِمَا نَعْلَمُ مِنْ كَرَاهِيَتِهِ لِذَلِكَ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that in our eyes, there was no one more beloved than the Prophet (ﷺ), but we would not stand up upon seeing the Prophet (ﷺ) because we knew that the Prophet (ﷺ) did not like it.
