حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسَاحِقٍ،، ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: " مَا رَأَيْتُ إِمَامًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِنْ إِمَامِكُمْ هَذَا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ، وَكَانَ عُمَرُ لَا يُطِيلُ الْقِرَاءَةَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say about Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) "while he was in Madinah Munawwarah" that I have not seen anyone who resembled the prayer of the Prophet (ﷺ) more than your Imam. Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) did not recite long (Qira'at) in prayer.
