حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، وَسُرَيْجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ: لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبَّابًا، وَلَا فَحَّاشًا، وَلَا لَعَّانًا، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لِأَحَدِنَا عِنْدَ الْمَعْتَبَةِ: " مَا لَهُ تَرِبَ (١) جَبِينُهُ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) was not one who abused, cursed, or spoke indecently. Even at the time of reproach, he would only say: "What is the matter with him, may his forehead be dusted."
