Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي مَثَلُ الْمَطَرِ، لَا يُدْرَى أَوَّلُهُ خَيْرٌ أَوْ آخِرُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The example of my Ummah is like that of rain; it is not known whether its beginning is better or its end." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
