حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ الْمَعْنَى، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ: أَتَعْرِفِينَ فُلَانَةَ؟ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهَا وَهِيَ تَبْكِي عَلَى قَبْرٍ، فَقَالَ لَهَا: " اتَّقِي اللهَ وَاصْبِرِي "، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ: إِلَيْكَ (١) عَنِّي، فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُبَالِي بِمُصِيبَتِي، قَالَ: وَلَمْ تَكُنْ عَرَفَتْهُ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: إِنَّهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَخَذَهَا مِثْلُ الْمَوْتِ، فَجَاءَتْ إِلَى بَابِهِ، فَلَمْ تَجِدْ عَلَيْهِ بَوَّابًا، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْرِفْكَ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الصَّبْرَ عِنْدَ أَوَّلِ صَدْمَةٍ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Once, Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said to a woman of his household, "Do you know such-and-such woman?" Once, the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by her while she was weeping at a grave. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to her, "Fear Allah and be patient." She replied, "Stay away from me, you do not know what calamity has befallen me." She did not recognize the Prophet (ﷺ). Later, someone told her that it was the Prophet (ﷺ). Upon hearing this, she was overwhelmed and immediately came to the Prophet (ﷺ). There she saw no doorkeeper and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I did not recognize you." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Patience is at the first stroke of calamity."
