حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، أَخْبَرَنِي سُهَيْلٌ، أَخُو حَزْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ} [المدثر: ٥٦] قَالَ: " قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ: أَنَا أَهْلٌ أَنْ أُتَّقَى، فَلَا يُجْعَلْ مَعِي إِلَهٌ، فَمَنْ اتَّقَى أَنْ يَجْعَلَ مَعِي إِلَهًا، كَانَ أَهْلًا (١) أَنْ أَغْفِرَ لَهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse: "He is worthy of being feared and worthy of granting forgiveness," and said: "Your Lord has said, 'I am worthy that people fear Me and do not associate anyone as a deity with Me. Whoever fears associating anyone as a deity with Me, he is worthy that I forgive him.'"
